Sam Mutimer Speaker and Social Media Strategic Director Sam is a highly energetic speaker & social media strategist with hands-on experience in the latest trends & tools within the social media world. She runs thinktank media’s events along with a regular ‘Social Media’ slot on the Kiss.fm breakfast show. She is the video blogger for the buzzing mums network, connect2mums & founder of Melbourne’s active offline twitter community group @ tweetupmellers. Together with thinktank media, their client list includes Toyota, AFLPA, Fit n Fast, Genesis fitness, Drake and Yamaha, along with numerous councils & PR/ Advertising agencies. Rebecca Derrington Founder of SourceBottle SourceBottle founder Rebecca Derrington has a simple vision: for every journalist using the service to be INUNDATED with quality sources; and for every SourceBottle subscriber to get FAMOUS using it. Rebecca is an experienced public relations and marketing strategist, as well as a qualified drama coach and workplace trainer. These skills have helped her get results for clients for more than 12 years. Before pursuing a career in public relations and marketing, Rebecca practised as a lawyer (for about three minutes), but quickly realised she was more passionate about public relations and marketing. So, she started over - completing a business degree and working up to executive and senior management marketing, public relations and corporate communication roles in the services sector. And she never looked back. After the birth of her first child, Rebecca started her own public relations firm, Wagging Tongues. It was then that she recognised a need for a service that gave journalists and bloggers an opportunity to ‘call out’ for sources. She knew PR professionals and businesses would also benefit, since both could feel more confident their ‘pitches’ would bring about the desired outcome: highly coveted publicity and media attention. Just over a year ago, Rebecca decided to create this service and deliver it to everyone for free.

As an accountant and former surf shop owner Alycia understands the issues that small business face everyday. She believes you can work on your business effectively simply by understanding your business numbers. She creates innovative systems and processes that enable business owners to be highly focused and productive in their business. Previously Alycia worked in a variety of industries such as accounting firms, investment firm, government, small and medium business in the fields of management and financial accounting as well as information systems. As an owner of a surf shop for 5 years and only recently sold, this experience gave Alycia the ability to relate to small business owners about the issues they face in their business every day. Whether that is financial issues such as cashflow, or staff issues, marketing and promotions, time erosion from working in the business, lack of focus due to interruptions or her speciality, what is the story behind their financial numbers and what can be done about it. The retail business was also the catalyst for her product Bookzkeeper-The Accounting Survival Kit for Small Business. She used this system within her business and then with her clients businesses and their tax accountants were amazed at how organised everything was. Not only that, their tax was completed in record time with minimum fuss. Alycia knows that accounting and financial numbers can be tricky to grasp especially for creative types. She can help you understand your business numbers, the story behind them as well as ways to improve them. Being organised in business is one of the challenges that once acheived can make owners and their business extremely effective and productive. She achieves this through regular mentoring sessions and implementation of systems, procedures and processes.

b.box® was created by Dannielle Michaels and Monique Filer, two Melbourne mums passionate about building a business that enabled them to balance young families and fulfil their creative and business goals.
Dannielle comes from a creative background, with over 15 years experience in marketing, advertising and communications, while Monique brings over 15 years finance, risk and operations expertise. Together they make a formidable team, complementing each other’s skills,constantly challenging each other and bouncing around new ideas.
We started the business three years ago, after travelling with a newborn. Ever tried changing a nappy in an airline cubicle? Mission impossible. So we started to look for a solution that gave us everything we needed for a quick nappy change at our fingertips, without much success. And so b.box® was born.
After two years of product development and testing, we launched the essential baby box in May last year. Within our first 12 months on the market we have built an impressive national network of over 250 stockists and have distribution in over 10 countries. We also added to our range this year, with the essential nappy caddy, essential travel bib and essential baby spoon – which have all received rave reviews.Our minds are always whirring and we continue to brainstorm, design and test new ideas.
